“Who you pick as your DJ is one of THE most important decision you make in wedding planning because it's such a pivotal determinant of how much fun your guests have. It's also one of the hardest decisions to make since there's no 'portfolio' by which to judge their work (unlike florists, photographers, hair & makeup). Luckily, Jason was recommended to us by our planner as the best in the game, and we are SO GLAD we hired him to DJ our wedding.
What made our experience with Jason so phenomenal: (1) He is super professional, friendly, and approachable. He is very easy and fun to talk to and vibes with everyone. (2) His sensational music selection and mixing kept our dance floor bumpin all evening long. Jason told us that great DJing is all abut watching the crowd and observing what gets the guests going, and then making song selections based on how people react. Jason is MASTERFUL at this. Note that his approach is the furthest thing possible from having a set playlist. I personally have been to too many weddings where the DJ makes the crowd suffer through the entirety of a song no one likes. Not so with Jason! He fluidly mixes and samples songs so he can get "in and out" of them depending on what the party is reacting to. Such a hard-to-find skill and SO CRITICAL for a great dance party. (3) He is just the coolest dude, which is exactly what you want in a DJ.”
